All-American Supercar: The 2017 Ford GT

A few years back, there was quite a bit of debate over the Ford GT Concept’s engine. A twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 in a supercar wasn’t exactly the standard at the time. But, Ford’s choice to go with the twin-turbo V6 paid off big time. This V6 packs a whopping 647-hp, and proves that downsizing and adding turbos can definitely work.

On this episode of Ignition presented by Tire Rack, Motor Trend’s Angus MacKenzie gets to drive this 2017 GT on both the road and track. Aside from a few minor criticisms, MacKenzie was nothing but impressed. MacKenzie’s been in the business for a long time, so we trust him on this one.
