LEAKED: The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500

Happy Friday, everyone. This Friday is brought to you by a lovely leaking of muscle car goodness thanks to Jalopnik. The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was scheduled to unveil in January of next year at the 2019 Detroit auto show. But lucky for us, we have a sneak peak. The car was shown to a group of people – likely dealers, and we have pictures to prove it. We can gather a few things from the photos: The new GT500 has a gaping front end, a large wing that might be carbon fiber, and seems to ride atop carbon fiber wheels.

Under the hood will be a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine producing over 700 horses. All that power will be sent straight to the rear thanks to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments as the official reveal gets closer.
