Next Gen Chevrolet Colorado Not Expected Until 2022

As far as Ford and Ram are concerned, the mid-size pickup truck is practically dead. GM, however, thinks otherwise. Since the arrival back in 2015, the Chevrolet Colorado and the GMC Canyon have proved that not all truck buyers want or need, for that matter, full-size trucks. Question now is, when will GM launch the third generation Colorado Canyon?

Autoline recently reported that the next GM mid-size truck will begin production in 2022. It’s obvious that GM isn’t in any rush. But hey, good things take time, right? Seeing that the Ford Ranger won’t arrive until around 2019, 2022 doesn’t seem that far off. Until then, look out for the debut of the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size trucks.. we’re thinking those could be revealed as early as January 2018. Cough, cough, Detroit Auto Show, cough.
